Feb 6, 2017 Papeete, Tahiti, Society Islands, French Polynesia

Very hot and humid rainy day greeted up.
Papeete is the Largest city in Tahiti - population of 180,000.  Lots of people and cars.
Where we are.

 Welcoming committee at the pier.

Marche de Papeete.  Just about anything you can think of can be found here.  Flowers, produce handcrafts, fish, meat, prepared foods.

Remnants of Christmas.

Cathedral Notre-Dame de Papeete.

The arms are not part of the sculpture, but the man was asleep and I didn't want to wake him.  And I don't have PhotoShop!
Not a very happy camper in the rain.

Obligatory license plate.

Guess folks want to get away from the heat and humidity.

They are everywhere.

Even with the rain nature is still beautiful.

Amazing dance troupe brought in to entertain us.

Had to get in the middle of everything.

Beautiful and talented young ladies.
